At Elyria Panthers, we're dedicated to fostering a love for hockey in young athletes of all ages. We provide a clear pathway for skaters to develop their skills, from their very first strides on the ice to competitive travel hockey.

1) AJ Vincent Beginners Program (Ages 3-12): Learn to Skate & Learn to Play Combined!
We've combined the foundational skills of Learn to Skate and the introduction to hockey in our AJ Vincent Beginners Program. This program is designed to provide a seamless transition for young skaters into the world of hockey.
As skaters progress within the AJ Vincent Beginners Program, they will begin to incorporate hockey skills, and we recommend introducing hockey skates to familiarize them with the feel and enhance their development.
This program provides the building blocks to move to our Mini Mites Panthers In-House Mite Program.
2) Mini Mites Panthers In-House Mite Program (Ages 4-8): Developing Skills and Teamwork
Our Mini Mites Panthers In-House Mite Program is an in-house league focused on skill development, fundamental training, and creating a fun, engaging hockey experience for skaters aged 8 and under.
Skaters are grouped into teams based on their skill level.
The season is dedicated to intensive skill development through practices as well as incorporating competitive games while continuing to emphasize skill enhancement.
3) CSHL Hockey (Age Dependent on Level): Competitive Play
After gaining experience in the Mini Mites Panthers In-House Mite Program, skaters can try out for our youth travel teams, competing in the Cleveland Suburban Hockey League (CSHL).
Our travel program includes:
Travel Mite (8U): Introduction to competitive hockey.
Squirt (10U): Building on skills and teamwork.
Peewee (12U): Advancing skills and strategies.
Bantam (14U): Advanced play and development, including checking.
Tryouts are held in early spring, with registration in April.
Completion of a season in the Mini Mites Panthers In-House Mite Program is required before trying out for the travel teams.
